Signs that Your Car Needs Air conditioning Repair

February 25, 2022

Our team at TRC Automotive Repair wants to help you get the best possible driving experience, and an important part of any driving experience is keeping your car’s cabin comfortable. If your car’s air conditioner has been acting up, our experts are here to provide the effective repairs you need. In this article, we will go over a few signs that your car may need air conditioning repair in the near future.

Air Conditioning | TRC Automotive
  • Cooling is Inconsistent - If your car’s air conditioner is working properly, then you should feel cool air coming through all open vents. Should your system start providing only inconsistent cooling, then chances are that there is a problem that needs to be checked out and fixed.
  • You Smell Weird Odors - Another sign that your car may need air conditioning repair is strange or unpleasant odors coming from the vents. These odd smells can be caused by a dirty cabin filter that needs to be replaced, or by mold growth in the system. With this in mind, it’s important to get this issue checked out as soon as possible so that you don’t breathe in mold spores as you drive.
  • Fluid Leaks - A third, very obvious sign that your car needs air conditioning repair is the system leaking water inside the vehicle cabin. Any condensation from your car’s air conditioning is supposed to drain outside the vehicle, and if it starts to leak inside instead, the most likely cause is a blocked drain. This type of leak will cause further problems unless you address it quickly, so we encourage you to get the issue repaired as soon as possible.

Windshield wipers are typically made of a rubber blade attached to a metal or plastic arm. The rubber is designed to be replaced, as they can wear out or become cracked due to exposure to the sun and weather elements. In this blog we will briefly discuss about making your windshield wipers last.
